It’s a Castleton tradition, and everyone is asked to share their own blessings by bringing gifts and food for those less fortunate. On Sunday, November 19, families are asked to bring toys and clothing for boys and girls, toddlers through 12th grade. The gifts will go to both Fletcher Place and Barnes UMC for distribution at their Christmas Shopping events. Donated food will also be shared with food pantries in our neighboring community. Monetary donations are also welcomed (designate Ingathering on the memo line of your check). Funds will be split between Barnes UMC and the Crestview Angel Fund.
Donating is only part of the process. All of the toys and food must be sorted and transported. Donations will be accepted to offset the cost of the food. Families are encouraged to help in every way possible including the sorting and delivery of all the donated items.
