Missions Work at Castleton UMC

12 When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. “Do you understand what I have done for you?” he asked them. 13”You call me ‘Teacher’ and ‘Lord’ and rightly so for that is what I am. 14Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. 15I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.” John 13 12-15

Dear Church Family,

On behalf of the Mission committee, thank-you for your support of mission works locally and internationally through your prayer, your service, and monetary gifts.  The Mission Committee is committed to doing all we can as a church family to show others the love of Christ by following his example.

An exciting opportunity to re-energize our Mission work for 2019 is quickly approaching.  February 10th will be Faith Promise Sunday. Joel Reichenbach with Habitat for Humanity will be our guest speaker.   Each year Castleton UMC partners with Habitat for Humanity in the Interfaith build here in Indianapolis.  The mission team is looking forward to hearing Joel speak about how Habitat is transforming lives in Indianapolis

At both worship services during Mission Weekend you will have the opportunity to complete your Faith Promise commitment card.  We pray that you will consider supporting the mission activities of the Castleton United Methodist Church through your Faith Promise Giving.  Besides financial support, we encourage everyone to participate in at least one mission activity in 2019.  We are looking forward to celebrating all the Mission Possible good works occurring in our own community and around the world on February 10th.

In His Name,
Cristy Catt
Chair of CUMC Mission Committee
