Ascent 121 hosts a Prayer Journey once a month; it is a driving journey. The purpose is to give volunteers small glimpses into the life of an Indianapolis teen that is vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation, to allow time to pray over agencies serving vulnerable youth and to pray for the survivors. Throughout your driving journey, you will learn about the child welfare system, the juvenile justice system, different ways that teens are drawn into trafficking and victim services that are available to survivors. Guided prayer stops allow you to pray for survivors, teens at risk, educators, social service providers, juvenile justice staff, law enforcement, ministries, and organizations.
Your journey begins at West Morris Street Church with an orientation by the Ascent 121 staff, and concludes with a debrief for your group to process their experience.
A parent must accompany participants under 18.
Upcoming dates (3rd Saturday of the month): March 16th at 10:00; April 20th, May 18th or June 15th at 9:00.
