Ahepa

We need several more people to work at the Ahepa Senior Apartments right down the street from the Ministries Center, Sat., February 16, from 9am-12pm. We meet at the apartments (7355 Shadeland Station Way). Bring trash bags and general cleaning supplies. This is such a small but powerful way to serve in our neighborhood. Sign up through this link: signup.com/go/BSxHEtZ or at the Welcome Center. Our contact is Mary Carson at 317-509-3757.

Providing Affordable Senior Housing for Over Twenty-Five Years

For more than a quarter century, Ahepa has been a leader in providing affordable housing for low-income seniors and disabled persons. Founded in 1983 with a simple goal of improving the quality of life for our country’s elderly citizens, we are dedicated to enriching the lives of all who reside in our apartment communities. We believe our residents should be able to live with great pride, even on a modest income.

AHEPA National Housing Corporation has nearly 4,700 apartments within 92 senior apartment communities, spanning 22 states, with more in development.

Castleton UMC members have been assisting residents at the AHEPA apartments located on Shadeland Station Way for over 4 years. We have assisted residents with moving, cleaning, sorting as well as various other tasks. 2-3 times per year Mary organizes a day when a group will meet at the apartments and assist residents with cleaning, and organizing their apartment. It does not require much of your time to help and is usually on an as needed basis. This is a great opportunity to assist members of the community.

Mary Carson heads up this mission and she is always looking for volunteers. If you would like your name and e-mail added to the list of volunteers to assist the residents please e-mail Mary Carson at carsonarm@sbcglobal.net.
