Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis:

Habitat For Humanity

Habitat for Humanity helps families achieve the American dream of home ownership. Because of donations and volunteers like you, Habitat is able to provide low-income families the opportunity to purchase a house. Every year approximately 25 local United Methodist Churches partner with Habitat to help purchase and build a house.

We volunteer to build, paint, landscape, feed workers and pray for the home and the home owners. Through our Mission committee, money is donated for the build; and through our volunteers helping to build, we do our share each year to provide a home to a needy family.

Thank you for all your support.

2018 Habitat for Humanity Interfaith Build – for the Turentine and Dycus families on the East side of Indy

Our work days are as follows:
Friday, 10/5 – Framing: Raising & Lifting Walls, 6 volunteers
Saturday, 10/13 – Framing: Wrap Up, 6 volunteers
Saturday, 10/20 – Siding, 6 volunteers
Saturday, 11/17 – Interior Paint, 5 volunteers

During the volunteer shift (7:45am-2:30pm), training, materials, tools, snacks, pizza lunch and water will be provided!  All skill levels welcomed.

Volunteers are required to register at http://cumc.indyhabitat.volunteerhub.com/. Either by using an existing account or creating a new account.  They ask each person to register online for a couple of reasons. It is easier for them to communicate volunteer numbers to their construction team so that they can plan for the day, emergency contact information is easier to find, and they have an electronic signature on their liability waivers.  Exact worksite address will be in a confirmation email after signing up.
