Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world

All Church Study

In difficult times, we often hear people say, “Everything happens for a reason!” But is this what the Bible teaches? It may be easy to jump to trite platitudes to explain seasons of suffering in our lives, but the Bible actually gives us a very different perspective than our favorite clichés. This fall, we will explore these questions together in our upcoming all-church study, “Everything Happens for a Reason (And Other Lies I’ve Loved),” based on the book by Kate Bowler. This 5-week study begins on August 2. You can sign up to join an online or in-person small group here.

As a parent/caregiver we know this season can be stressful. So we are offering a time for you to simply come and be and reset your life emotionally and spiritually.

We will call it “Reset”. It will take place on Wednesday nights, 8:30-9:15 pm via Zoom. You can come in your PJ’s and bring your drink of choice and/or your chocolate and we all take a breath. We will practice Lectio Divina together. Lectio Divina is the practice of scriptural reading, meditation, and prayer. It will be a great time to unwind and destress and focus our hearts on God. While sharing prayers and needs and struggles and wins.
