Amy Carter

Lay Representative to Annual Conference

Amy Carter Headshot

Amy Carter serves as a liturgist, has been in the choir, and is part of the Kingdom Conversations table group.

Amy lives with her husband, Stephen, and their two dogs, Thomas and Roscoe. They have chosen not to have children. She has wonderful decades-long friendships and framily (friends who are like family.)

She lives near her parents, brother, and sister-in-law, and her sister lives in Cleveland with her husband and nephew’s dog, Lupin.

Amy is the Director of Public Policy and Communications at Covering Kids & Families of Indiana.

On the weekends, you can find Amy selling pie at the Broad Ripple Farmers Market for the local shop, Pots and Pans Pie Co.

Amy loves musicals and has season tickets to Broadway in Indianapolis. She also loves reading, movies, TV, Christmas, friend time, and lounging. Amy is a great baker and very much enjoys cooking.

In Amy’s role on the board, she feels she has been called to challenge the way CUMC has done things. Not change for change’s sake, but because she wants Castleton to be a safe place for people who have not always found welcome in the church.

In addition to being a beacon in the community, Amy hopes CUMC is a good employer that pays well, offers good benefits, and creates a good work environment.
