30 Days of Catch: Day 15 with Rev. Dr. Aleze Fulbright
It feels like fall and football, not summer and baseball. Today has brought fall-like weather to central Indiana for a few days, but that doesn’t stop my 30 days of catch!
30 Days of Catch: Day 14 with Senator Fady Qaddoura
We received a few interested looks from people in suits who walked by the south side of the Statehouse this morning. Today, I played a game of catch with Senator Fady Quaddoura of District 30.
30 Days of Catch: Day 13 with Carley and Evie Garrison
With fans watching and the crowd cheering, we played our game of catch on day 13 of my 30 days of catch. Now I realize that the crowd was cheering for the Indianapolis Indians playing behind us, but the fans watching were all church kids and a few parents squeezing together in the shrinking shade avoiding the hot August sunlight.
30 Days of Catch: Day 12 with David Ayers
The weather is trying hard to delay my 30 days of catch. Luckily the storms passed this morning just in time for a morning game of catch with church member David Ayers at a nearby ballpark.
30 Days of Catch: Day 11 with Rev. Matt Swisher
On day 11 of Matt Landry’s 30 Days of Catch, he tossed the ball with Pastor Matt Swisher of Grace UMC in Kokomo, Indiana.
30 Days of Catch: Day 10 with Jason Acquisto
Baseball brings people together! Even rivals can find common ground in baseball. Even Cubs and Cardinals fans can come together for a game of catch! Today I met with church member and friend Jason Acquisto.
30 Days of Catch: Day 9 with Bishop Julius Trimble of the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church
Every game of catch is unique and special! That was especially true today. It’s not every day you get to play catch with your Bishop. Today I played catch with Bishop Julius Trimble of the Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church.
30 Days of Catch: Day 8 with City-County Councilor Ethan Evans
It’s hard to believe I’m already into my second week of 30 days of catch. It’s been so much fun meeting people to play catch! Today’s catch partner was Ethan Evans who is an Instructional Assistant at Lawrence Central High School and City-County Councilor of District 4 here in Indianapolis.
30 Days of Catch: Day 7 with Lu Pelsor
“There’s no crying in baseball” and there are no rain delays in 30 days of catch! Lu Pelsor, a member of my church, was kind enough to take me up on my offer to play catch today at the church even with the looming possibility of rain.
