Prayer Walking - August

God is always present and at work, but we are not always aware of it. If we’re not aware of it, then it’s hard to cooperate with God in that work. We desire to be a people who partner with God in world-changing work. The foundational practice for getting in sync with God, to have our eyes and hearts opened so we can participate with Him in this renewal process is prayer.

With that in mind, this summer we will be resuming our monthly Prayer Walking. We want to see God transform us and the community around us, so we will be joining together in prayer and hitting the streets, the neighborhoods, the schools, parks, and business areas around us asking God to do what only God can do. As a church family we will avail ourselves to God in prayer and to our neighbors through our presence. This is also a good time to get to know some fellow CUMCers better.

As we did last year, we will have a simple pitch-in lunch together after our Sunday worship service, then we’ll proceed out to walk and pray. If this is a new activity for you, please CLICK HERE to get an idea about what you’re in for (it’s really quite simple).
