New Worship Series – What If Jesus Was Serious About Justice?
Begins August 2
Our theme this year is Joy & Justice. We have spent the summer Catching Joy, now it’s time to turn our attention to Justice. But what is “justice”? What are we speaking of when we talk about “justice”? Author Skye Jethani writes, “..it’s important to recognize that different definitions of ‘justice’ exist, rooted in different traditions and assumptions.” As such, there is a lot of confusion and debate, both inside and outside the church, on this topic.
We’re going to spend 8 weeks (August and most of September) getting a good grasp on what Jesus and the Bible have to say about Justice, as we read and discuss Skye’s book, What If Jesus Was Serious About Justice?
Books will go on sale beginning on Sunday for $15. Join us by reading along, participating in a Table Group, and attending Sunday service, as we learn Justice in the way of Jesus together.

Breast Cancer Group
Monday, August 3
All are welcome to join The Journey Breast Cancer Group that meets monthly on the first Monday of each month. The next meeting is Monday, August 3 from 6:30-8:00 PM. This group welcomes those who are in treatment or recently diagnosed or who have experienced breast cancer in the past. Please contact Julie Rollins at JRollins2@comast.net to learn more about the group and the meeting location at church.

Feeding Team Pantry
Coming August 4 to the Bell Tower
What is the yellow pantry box? It’s neighbors helping neighbors through free 24×7 confidential outdoor food pantries. The pantries operate on the honor system “Take What You Need, Give What You Can” and rely on the community and companies to keep non-perishable food in each of the pantries around Central Indiana. Together, individuals, businesses, and volunteers deliver, stock, and sort over one thousand non-perishable meals monthly. The box in our Bell Tower will be delivered, set-up, and prayed over on Tuesday, August 4.
