New Worship Series: Good and Beautiful and Kind
Begins September 27
We live in a world that is, sadly, broken, fractured, divided, ruptured. Yet, we know that’s not how things are supposed to be, or were created to be. Additionally, as followers of Jesus, we understand that we have a role to play in God’s restoration of this world. This will require us to be healthy and whole ourselves.
Thankfully, God is already at work in each of us. In our final series for our year of Joy & Justice, we’re going to go through the book Good And Beautiful And Kind: Becoming Whole in a Fractured World, by pastor and author Rich Villodas. We’re going to learn how to cooperate and collaborate with God in the renovating work of the Spirit within us, and how to participate with God in the ongoing renewal of this world beyond us.
This series will start on September 27, in worship services and table groups, and take us to the beginning of Advent. Due to shipping delays, we will not be selling the book in the narthex. Please order your own copy from Amazon, an independent seller on Biblio, or whatever you like to find books.
As a reminder, if you’re not in a Table Group, the start of a new series is always a good time to check one out, as we learn, discuss, and grow together.
Habitat for Humanity Multifaith Build

The Habitat for Humanity Multi-faith Build aims to put faith and love into action to make them real, to make them come alive for people. Join fellow churches, mosques, and synagogues, investing in affordable homeownership in our community.

Join us for our next Big Family Dinner on October 4 to hear Pastor Matt share stories and reflections from his clergy renewal leave and have an opportunity to ask him questions. These monthly gatherings have become a wonderful way for our church family to share a meal, connect with one another, and take part in meaningful conversations. CUMNS Kids Trunk or Treat

The CUMNS Kids PTO is planning a Trunk or Treat event and has invited us to help make it a fun and memorable event for the CUMNS Kids students and their families! They are looking for volunteers to help in the following ways:
- Host a Trunk
- Host a game or activity at the event
- Monetary donations and/or candy donations (can be dropped off at the CUMNS Kids office, weekdays 7:30-5:30)

Feeding Team Pantry
Our Yellow Feeding Team Box is being used a great deal. Take what you need and give what you can. Please help us keep the box stocked and provide non-perishable items for our community. Donate canned goods, canned fruit, boxed mac & cheese, small jars of peanut butter, jelly, spaghetti sauce, pasta, and baby food. Simply draw a line through the UPC code and place the items in the box. Thank you!
