Stewardship Celebration
Sunday, November 23 | 10:00 AM
As we gather for our annual Ingathering on the Sunday before Thanksgiving, November 23, we invite you to join us for a Stewardship Celebration Lunch following our one 10:00 AM worship service.
During this time together, we’ll celebrate the generosity of this year’s stewardship campaign, share a brief update on our church finances, and hold a Charge Conference where Castleton members will vote on the use of two endowment funds.
Please consider bringing donations for our ministry partners (Barnes United Methodist Church, The Community Cupboard, and more) with you to worship on November 23. Needed items include: clothing, toys, and personal hygiene items for birth through age 12 years, and non-perishable food items.

Coat Donations
We are collecting coats, hats, and gloves for those in need of warmth this season to be donated to Roberts Park UMC. Please mark the coats with “Roberts Park” and place in the donation box by Door #2 by November 16. New or gently used coats are accepted, with the greatest need being adult large and extra large.

Clergy Renewal Update
A few weeks ago, during worship services, we shared the wonderful news that Pastor Matt received the Lily Endowment Clergy Renewal Grant for 2026. The theme is “Catching Joy,” which will take the Landry family on the road (and through the sky) playing catch, connecting with old and new friends, experiencing culture and history, learning about religion and spirituality, and enjoying ballparks from Korea to Japan, St. Louis to Kansas City, and Chicago to Pittsburgh!
Pastor Matt has written an update to this announcement with more details and information. Please click the button below to read his letter.

Jan Johnson Weekend
Saturday, November 15 & Sunday, November 16
We’ve read her words. We’ve gleaned her insight, wit, and wisdom. Now it’s time to see her face and hear her voice IN PERSON. That’s right, Jan Johnson, author of Invitation to the Jesus Life, is coming to Castleton UMC on Saturday, November 15 and Sunday, November 16.
Saturday evening, we’ll have dinner together, followed by some teaching and interactive time with Jan. Invite your friends, perhaps bring a question or two, and enjoy a lively time with Jan and your church family. Please use the button below to let us know you plan to attend.
On Sunday, Jan will be preaching at both services.
