Summer Worship Schedule
One Worship Service at 10 AM | May 17- July 26
Join us on Sunday as we transition to one 10:00 AM worship service for the summer. We will pray for and bless Pastor Matt as he begins his renewal leave, and also welcome and bless Interim Senior Pastor Cindy Reynolds. Our summer worship schedule of one service at 10:00 AM will continue through July 26.
Feeding Team Pantry Coming to Castleton!
We are partnering with FeedingTeam.org to bring an outdoor food pantry to our campus under the bell tower out front near the parking lot. The Feeding Team exists to provide for hungry neighbors with an emphasis on serving families that don’t fit the models of public assistance and traditional food pantries.
The pantry is a “Take what you need, give what you can” model, similar to the little libraries idea. Guests are welcome to use it at any time and at the same time everyone is invited to donate food in the food pantry box.
The pantry will be delivered on a future date, along with a time for a prayer and blessing. After delivery, feel free to bring food on Sunday mornings or anytime and share some blessings with our neighbors through this new pantry.
Serve at AHEPA Apartments

IJoin us in groups of 2–3 on Saturday, May 16, as we visit residents in their apartments to assist with light cleaning or small household projects. This is a great opportunity to connect, give back, and make a meaningful difference in someone’s day. If you have cleaning supplies and are willing to bring them, please do! Masks are not required unless a resident asks that one be worn in their apartment.
Serve at Soup’s On at Roberts Park

Outreach Walking for Dreams

Help us support our mission partners, Outreach Indiana, with their goal to raise $50,000 to provide transformational services and build relationships with youth experiencing homelessness in Indianapolis. You can join the Castleton UMC team or donate by using the button below. The registration fee for the walk with $30 ($5 for children ages 4-12; children 3 and under can participate for free). This pet-friendly event is held at Crown Hill (700 38th Street) with registration from 1:00-2:00 PM.
Gleaners Mobile Food Pantry
Select Tuesdays Beginning June 9
Buy food or pay rent? No one should be forced to choose. We are excited to announce that we are partnering again this summer with Gleaners to bring the CARE Mobile Food Pantry to our campus on the following Tuesdays this summer:
- June 9 & 23
- July 7, 21 & 28
- August 11 & 25

VBS
June 15-18 | 6:00-8:00 PM
Cooking is more than just mixing stuff together—it takes time, creativity, care, and knowing what each ingredient brings to the table. The same is true when it comes to growing our faith! At What’s Cookin’? VBS, kids will discover how to practice spiritual habits that bring them closer to God.
Registration is open now for participants (potty-trained 3-year-olds through incoming 5th graders), youth volunteers (incoming 6th-12th graders), and adult volunteers. Please use the button below to learn more, sign up, and donate from our wish list!
Fish Fry Volunteers
Our 45th annual Fish Fry is scheduled for July 16-18, 2026. The Fish Fry is one of our biggest events each year and requires lots of volunteers to make it happen. Like we did last year, to ensure we can successfully host this event, we’re asking for volunteers to sign up early. We specifically need to know we will have enough volunteers for set-up (Mon-Wed evenings), cashiers, fryers, drive-thru, and kitchen. Please use the button below to sign up, or look for sign-up tables in the Narthex in April.
