Prayer School

Friday, September 19,  7:00-8:30 PM & Saturday, September 20, 9:00 AM – 12:30 PM | Ministry Center Conference Room

Do you feel comfortable and confident when it comes to prayer? Do you enjoy praying? Do you understand why, as Christians, we pray? Have you experienced the transformative effect of prayer?

Register for Prayer School for the opportunity to learn and actively engage in the prayer liturgy that Pastor Brian Zahnd, founder and lead pastor of Word of Life Church in St. Joseph, Missouri, has developed during a lifetime of pastoral ministry. This prayer school will help you gain a fresh perspective on the purpose of prayer and will provide you with a sustainable framework for personal prayer.

Methodist History Presentation

Tuesday, October 7 | 6:30 PM | Fellowship Hall

David Worthington, Global Ambassador of Methodist Heritage Sites, General Commission on Archives & History of The United Methodist Church from Bristol, England, will be offering a presentation called ‘Wisdom from the Past, Hope for the Future – A Methodist Heritage Story.”

David Worthington believes the ‘methods’ established in the 18th-century Methodist movement on both sides of the Atlantic can provide us with valuable lessons and insights as to how we should be addressing some of our current challenges as a denomination. He will share about the need to reclaim our identity as Methodists, but, to do so, we first need to understand what it means to be a Methodist!

A Light to Guide You

Bell Choir Members Needed

The Bell Choir is currently looking for a few more members! If you can read rhythms, you can do it. We’ve started people out on easy bells and moved them to more complicated ones, or just kept them where they felt comfortable.

Rehearsals are 6:00 – 7:00 PM on Thursdays. We typically ring in service on the last Sunday of the month. If you are interested or would like more information, please contact John Perkins, Director of Music, at johnp@castletonumc.org.
